Job Preferences (Optional) Window
The job preferences you select here will be used by Human Resources to refer you to specific job vacancies. Selecting job preferences may limit your job referral opportunities. For example, if you select a specific region or location then you may only be referred to jobs in that region or location.
Alert: Preferences indicated below will be applied to current and previously submitted positions.
- Agency Preference list—Click the down-arrow to view a drop-down list of choices. Select the agency(ies) for which you prefer to work. For example, All agencies, Parks and Recreation, etc. Press and hold the CTRL key then click the mouse button to select multiple items.
- Job Status Preference check boxes—Click to select the job type you are interested in. The job type indicates the nature of employment and benefits.
- Desired Minimum Salary boxes—Indicate the minimum wage (hourly wage or annual salary) you are looking for.
- Broward County Region Preference list—The Broward County geographic region in which you prefer to work. Press and hold the CTRL key then click the mouse button to select multiple items.
- Location Preference (Libraries or Parks Only) list—Select the location(s) where you prefer to work. Press and hold the CTRL key then click the mouse button to select multiple items.
- Depending on what you’re currently doing in the system, one or more of these functions may be available:
- Continue button—When you are done on this window, click Continue. The Candidate’s Application History Window appears.
- Next button—When you are done on this page, click Next to proceed to the next step in the process.
